Since the first year, Classic Days has expressly invited visitors to bring their own picnics to the festival. Enjoy a weekend at the Birkhof manor, celebrate country life with plenty of flair and the big classic garden party of the summer. It is you who shape it, who then make it as colourful and diverse as ever as Classic Days visitors and fans.
And everyone can set up their picnic area just how they like it. Whether it’s folding chairs or a picnic blanket, there are even straw bales to sit on in some parts of the festival. Sometimes it’s very British, sometimes it’s just simple – with friends or just the two of you.
Picnics are the order of the day at Classic Days!
Preferably dressed in contemporary clothing
Picnics can also be decorated in a contemporary style and with appropriate clothing as a journey through time, which is certainly what we would prefer. As Old Fritz (Frederick II of Prussia) once said: ‘Here, everyone is happy in their own way (Facon).’ Welcome!
You are welcome to bring whatever you like for your picnic on the grounds (but please no barbecues). The basic requirement is a ticket for the Classic Days. Whether you come with a classic car, vintage car or modern classic, or without your own set of wheels – picnics are (almost) mandatory and possible in many places, including the historic park.
Reserve picnic tickets in good time
Those who wish to enjoy a classic car picnic in one of the two designated picnic areas can purchase so-called ‘picnic tickets’ in advance and order them via the ticket shop.
