Dresscode
Still a good idea in 2026
At the festival, we are always delighted by the wide variety of styles and tastes in the clothing worn by our guests, visitors, fans and participants.
In 2026, the large and colourful automobile garden party will attract tens of thousands of visitors to the Rittergut Birkhof for a high-octane summer picnic – under the old trees of the manor park, in the historic courtyard and on the surrounding meadows and grounds. This will make the summer outing something special, and like-minded people will quickly strike up conversations and ‘find’ each other.

Classic Days – Grand Meeting
This means: time travel with stylish ease

The diverse and colourful world of classics
Not everyone knows – before arriving or visiting Classic Days for the first time – what to expect in terms of different styles and colourful diversity: there are racing drivers in overalls, mechanics, ladies with parasols and hats, Bentley boys and dandies, knickerbocker fans and US enthusiasts in checked shirts, T-shirts and jeans. The whole world of classic cars is like the people who make it up: a matter of taste – and it is as colourful as the visitors to Classic Days.
Whether based on the year of manufacture or without any car at all – the wardrobe is chosen according to one’s own imagination and preferences and proudly displayed. Here, everyone can be happy in their own way, as the Prussian King Frederick II wished and granted for all. This certainly also applies to a historic manor house.
This can also include wearing a simple polo shirt with summer chinos and trainers. In the 1950s and 1960s, this was even the racing attire of the Fangios, Graf Trips, Jim Clarks and de Portagos of this world.

Good examples that make it easy...
The pictures show some beautiful impressions and ideas as real examples from previous Classic Days. Have fun at the ‘fashion circus’ … and on your very own journey through time. It’s best to think carefully a few weeks in advance, browse and put together a specific selection.
It’s not difficult – and it doesn’t have to be a ‘disguise’.

There is little to consider
When we invite guests to a stylish summer car garden party, you can see different clothing styles at the festival – but one thing is important for everyone: it must be fun, should not offend the eye of others and should not overwhelm anyone. Let’s go!
Everything at Classic Days should have the light-heartedness that the event has stood for since its inception in 2006.
This also means that there are some no-gos. We are happy to give you a little hint here.
