The festival celebrates ‘The Avengers’ and everyone can join in. We are calling for a big themed dress code in 2026.

A competition for the best dress inspired by the cult series will reward the winners with a weekend trip to London! In addition, everyone who comes in a stylish ‘Avengers’ dress will receive a gift and can have their photo taken in a specially built set inspired by the cult series. We’re bringing Emma Peel and Mr Steed back to life! Join us from 31 July to 2 August 2026 at the Grand Meeting.

The anniversary to celebrate:

In 1961, the first season of ‘The Avengers’ aired, starring John Steed (played by Patrick Macnee) and Emma Peel (played by the incomparable Diana Rigg). The cult series, with its crime plot and more British flair than almost any other production for many years afterwards, is legendary and set new standards. Not only did John Steed drive a 4½-litre Bentley as his ‘company car’ and Emma Peel drive a Lotus Elan S3 convertible (which appeared in the series in 1966), but the ‘work clothes’ of the two protagonists were also ‘a real statement of style!’.

It’s been 65 years – reason to celebrate – and at the celebration, we will of course be welcoming fans of the 1998 remake with open arms and taking them along on our journey through time. The 1998 Avengers adaptation, starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman, with Sean Connery as the villain Sir August de Wynter, is already legendary today, even if it still feels like a recent release.

We are already calling for lots of people to come dressed in black catsuits as Emma Peel (with bowler hats as accessories) and, for the gentlemen, with umbrellas and bowler hats as Mr Steed! You all have charm in spades!

There is plenty of time to get the right wardrobe and make all the preparations for your own stylish appearance in anticipation of Classic Days 2026 from 31 July to 2 August. We – as Grand Meeting – will provide the right setting with a special display and stage design, and we will reward all participants!

Be British – be crazy – be the Grand Meeting…
So, how many Emma Peels and John Steeds will we see in 2026?
