Motorcycles & sidecars
Heroes on two wheels... or even three wheels
An exciting part of Classic Days is always the dynamic demonstration laps of motorcycles and sidecars at the ‘Racing Legends’ on the circuit at the Motor Festival. In the paddock, visitors can admire the exposed valve controls and boldly curved exhaust systems at their leisure. But woe betide them when they are let loose! Then the oldies on the circuit show off the sound and bite that motorcycles built between 1920 and 1964 can develop.

Motorsport in a tilted position
In the paddock, heroes on two and three wheels – solo machines, sidecars and three-wheelers – are lined up in style and set the pace for the first lap of the day on the circuit with a roar. Big names that we still know today, such as Harley-Davidson and Moto Guzzi, can be found there, but also those that have faded into motorcycle history.
Limited classes
There will once again be limited starter classes for historic racing motorcycles – even those without road approval.
The motorcycles, sidecars and three-wheelers will compete in three classes, taking into account their year of manufacture and performance levels. The machines will compete in a class covering 1920 to 1939, a class covering up to 1954 and – new in 2026 – a third class covering up to 1964.

The motorcycle sidecar class is being expanded – ideally to include racing sidecars. This class includes historic sidecars as well as three-wheelers from Morgan and others with various engines. The 1965 model year is also the upper limit for these classes.
