Formel Monoposto

Top-class motor racing

It is the glorious names that make people sit up and take notice: Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jack Brabham, Roy Salvadori and many others. Formula racing cars have always been the premier class in motorsport. Many of the vehicles, whether Formula 1, Formula 2 or 3, Formula Junior or other categories depending on regulations, engine capacity and international classes, are now in collections or private ownership and are used with great care and for very specific purposes.

Registration with the Monoposto takes place on the entry platform under the category ‘Racing Legends’.

Single-seater racing:
The monoposto racing cars

Driving a monoposto requires vehicle control and is the supreme discipline to watch and listen to. They are lined up in the paddock, racing cars and mini racing cars from different eras. It is a good tradition at the Classic Days that the monopostos start in style in a group, but it is about authentic pack driving for the enjoyment of the audience, not about overtaking and winning.

Open and honest

It is not inexpensive to keep formula cars roadworthy – at the Grand Meeting, formula car owners are always a special highlight in the paddock and on the track. Every year, we announce the ‘Formula Monoposto’ class and then meet long-standing participants, fearless drivers and good friends at the festival. The drivers and teams are happy to provide information in the paddock directly at the cars. Approachability and openness are the order of the day.

A journey through motorsport history

In no other vehicle category is the development in motorsport as evident as in open single-seaters. For 2026, we are once again looking forward to a fantastic number of unusual participant vehicles, which will truly complete the journey through time at the Grand Meeting with the charm of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Registrations can be made for Class 1 (up to 1961) and Class 2 (from 1962 onwards).
