The GM Future Liner #5
We all remember when the Future Liner #9 was a guest at Classic Days 2016 and caused quite a stir. One of the few surviving General Motors Future Liners from the 1950s ‘Parade of Progress’ had come to Chrome Cars in Germany and was presented at Classic Days.
We all remember when the Future Liner #9 was a guest at Classic Days 2016 and caused quite a stir. One of the few surviving General Motors Future Liners from the 1950s ‘Parade of Progress’ had come to Chrome Cars in Germany and was presented at Classic Days.
A few years later, the Chrome Cars team had the opportunity to acquire a very special Future Liner. The Future Liner No. 5 was discovered in the USA and brought to Europe. It had been converted into a gigantic futuristic car transporter by specialist Brad Boyajian, who had been searching all over the USA for the missing Future Liners or parts of them.
He was able to salvage the front axle from Liner No. 10 and connected it to the rear axle and parts of the rear body from Line No. 8. The result – salvaged from parts – was one of the coolest car haulers imaginable. Number 5 lives on! Nummer 5 lebt!
Chrom Cars is bringing this Future-Liner #5 to Classic Days – an impressive piece of technological and automotive history.
